Final Fantasy on iOS adds some elements that could make the game more easy going and enjoyable for those who just want to remember the story or go through it without all the hard work. Square Enix could've performed better in the terms of controls though.

The asking price, like most Square Enix titles on mobile platforms, is a little steep for what you get. But overall this is a pretty solid port, and the novelty of playing FF VII on a phone or tablet is enough to make me suggest picking this up.

It's just as fascinating as it was in 1997, but technically it could have been a much better port.

As an adaptation, Final Fantasy VII on iOS has room for improvement and it isn't particularly expensive. Still, the game as such is a masterpiece, and if you're ok with the flaws of this version, there's no doubt you will enjoy the experience.

I’m fond of being able to spend time with this game again, but it’s not going to replace my memories of playing the original, even as they grow hazier with the passage of time.

It might not be the greatest port of Square Enix's masterpiece, but it's good enough to scratch your nostalgia behind the ears.

The very same and exceptional PSX JRPG adventure now on iOS devices. The poor control system implementation is a shame, but the game still manages to shine in almost every way.

As for the game itself, you can love it, you can hate it, and I've certainly done both over the last 18 years, but however you rank it in the overall series, I feel like it's hard to argue against it being a really good JRPG.

There’s little reason to pick this version over the PC or even the PSN versions, but if you like the idea of reliving the 80+ hour epic on the go it’s not a bad choice.

Favorite game of my childhood. The surprises, challenges, and characters all make you fall in love with the game. The fact that you can even miss characters added a dynamic that you hadn't seen in games at the time.
