Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition

DMC4SE does not improve the gameplay as much as DmC: Definitive Edition did, it does not offer the spectacle God of War is famous for, but I assure you that in no other game building combos is so much fun. [09/2015, p.42]

Splatoon

Please don’t just look at the score and “meh” Splatoon, because this online shooter is the best thing that happened to Wii U in a long time. It just needs some major updates, because on arrival it’s just 75% of The Game of the Year. [09/2015, p.46]

Anna's Quest

Even if it’s not Daedalic’s greatest work, Anna’s Quest is still a strong entry in their catalogue. [09/2015, p.67]

Payday 2: Crimewave Edition

If you already have the previous edition of PayDay 2 (especially the PC version), you might see the Crimewave Edition as a robbery in broad daylight. If you don’t – it’s the best “robber simulator” there is. [09/2015, p.45]

LEGO Minifigures Online

I really enjoy Lego games by Traveller’s Tales with their charm, humor and pop-cultural references. Minifigures Online however was created by Funcom and you can feel that the Norwegians just don’t understand why TT’s games appeal both to young and older gamers. What’s more, LMO is boring, rather ugly, full of bugs and dubious design choices. [09/2015, p.55]

Xeodrifter

If you’re really hungry for a metroidvania but you expect something more than “some indie jam stuff” go for a much better Axiom Verge. [09/2015, p.69]

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die

Avant-garde at its best. Not all elements of this hugely unique game merge perfectly, but I haven’t had so much fun with time travel since Chrono Trigger. [08/2015, p.62]
